hi all
new to your forum so i hope i dont look like a complete plonker.
i am purchasing some shady lawn seed along with Pre-Seed Fertiliser 6-9-6. can this fertiliser be used once the lawn is established or is it just pre seed.

Most pre seed fertilisers are quick release so the nutrients can be taken up by the initial growth and establishment of a turf.
There is no reason why you cannot use this compound 8 - 10 weeks after the first application to further boost establishing grass (particularly on poor or sandy soils) providing there is rainfall forcast or sufficient irrigation is available.
Mid Autumn applications can also be useful as 6-9-6 will help grasses boost root stock and reserves prior to winter dormancy.
