Our best quality Ornamental Lawn seed mixture contains only the finest leaved amenity type grass cultivars (Not cheap fillers such as ryegrass, creeping red or strong red fescue) with the proper characteristics required to produce nothing less than a prestigious, formal type lawn – without compromise.

Extreme care should be made during the preparation of the seedbed for ornamental lawn seed ensuring a firm, flat, clean and even surface is created before sowing the lawn seed mixture. Regular aftercare and proper maintenance is vital in producing and maintaining a first class appearance. The frequent use of a sharp bladed cylinder mower is highly recommended. A blade height of between 8-15mm will take a clean and even cut ensuring your ornamental lawn always looks at its very best.

Please note: Selective herbicide treatment for the control of broadleaf weeds can only be applied 6 months after sowing. If there is a initial issue with weeds simply remove the growing tips with a mower on a high setting BEFORE the weeds create a leaf canopy over the emerging grasses. Cutting will do grass seedlings no harm at all (do not scalp the area) and will prevent potiential smothering from weeds as all the plants reach up for light. If fast growing, individual, broadleaf weeds become an issue it would be worthwhile initially removing these by hand.
